The old website of the Brasschaat Handball Club was built in WordPress using an outdated theme that was no longer maintained. This led to growing issues with adding new features and keeping up with the latest WordPress updates. The club had previously received some advice and small tweaks from impaktfull, but it became clear that a full revamp was necessary.

With a new management team at the helm, the club wanted a fresh start. And what better way to kick things off than with a modernized online presence that truly represented the spirit of the club?

impaktfull was handed a brand book as the foundation for the new website’s design. Our goal? Make the website visually cohesive with the club’s identity while ensuring a smooth and enjoyable user experience. The process consisted of three main phases:

1. Wireframing in Figma
   • Laying out the structure of the website.
   • Identifying key pages and must-have features.
2. UI Design & Feedback Rounds
   • Transforming wireframes into a sleek, polished UI design in Figma.
   • Gathering feedback from the club to refine the design and prioritize essential elements.
3. Development in Webflow
   • We chose Webflow for its ease of management.
   • The club wanted to handle website maintenance in-house, with impaktfull providing support when needed.

Key Features

A fresh design alone wasn’t enough—functionality was just as crucial. Here’s what we implemented:

• News Announcements: Displaying only the latest three updates to keep things concise and relevant.
• Integration with the Belgian Handball Federation: Automatically displaying upcoming matches.
• Team Standings: Live updates on rankings, directly pulled from the federation.
• Club Calendar: A complete overview of all upcoming events and activities.

Visual Impact

A picture is worth a thousand words, and for a sports club, strong visuals make all the difference. The club is currently working on gathering high-quality images to enhance the website’s appeal even further.

The Outcome

Thanks to impaktfull, Brasschaat Handball Club now has a modern, user-friendly website that aligns perfectly with its branding and future vision. Members and supporters can easily stay updated with the latest news, match schedules, and club information. And with Webflow’s flexibility, the club can manage updates independently while still relying on impaktfull for support when needed.
