At Impaktfull, our dedication to sustainability extends beyond merely reducing our carbon footprint. Despite our CO2 consumption for 2023-2024 being relatively low—only 1600 kg, thanks in part to the absence of a company car and our use of services like Poppy and other mobility solutions—we recognise the importance of going above and beyond in our environmental responsibility.
To be 100% transparant, in the past I was not really interested in this topic. But Hans van Dam gave me some insights at icapps that opened my eyes when starting my own company and not choosing for a company car. I believe making an impakt on the world can also be done on a small scale.

Our Commitment: Partnering with GoForest & GoOcean
For the 2024-2025 period, we have chosen to partner with GoForest and GoOcean to make a substantial impakt on the environment. These partnerships allow us to contribute to crucial reforestation and marine restoration projects, thus compensating for much more than our direct emissions.
Supporting Ocean Restoration with GoOcean
Our support for GoOcean stems from a deep personal connection with the underwater world. As a scuba diver, I have learned firsthand the importance of being careful and not harming the fragile ecosystems beneath the waves.
"I am a scuba diver, and I learned to always be careful and not harm the underwater world. This personal experience is why I am passionate about supporting ocean conservation efforts, such as planting coral to restore and protect marine biodiversity."

Compensating Beyond Our Emissions
While our estimated CO2 consumption stands at 1,600 kg, we are planning to compensate a total of at least 45 tons of CO2. This ambitious goal reflects our belief that businesses should play a proactive role in combating climate change. By compensating far more than our own emissions, we are contributing to the global effort to mitigate the effects of climate change.
Supporting the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Our projects with GoForest and GoOcean align with 15 out of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), showcasing our broad commitment to global sustainability. SDG Goals we support:
- SDG 1 (No Poverty): By supporting sustainable livelihoods through reforestation and agroforestry projects.
- SDG 2 (Zero Hunger): Promoting food security by supporting agroforestry initiatives that provide food and resources to local communities.
- SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being): Enhancing well-being by improving air and water quality through our environmental projects.
- SDG 5 (Gender Equality): Encouraging gender equality by supporting projects that empower women in the communities where we work.
- SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation): Protecting and restoring water-related ecosystems through our conservation efforts.
- SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy): Contributing to clean energy initiatives by offsetting carbon emissions and supporting renewable energy projects.
- SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth): Supporting decent work opportunities and economic growth through sustainable environmental projects.
- SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure): Promoting sustainable industrialization and innovation through green technologies and infrastructure projects.

- SDG 15 (Life on Land): Our reforestation and agroforestry initiatives are critical in conserving terrestrial ecosystems and biodiversity.
- SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals): Strengthening the means of implementation through partnerships with GoForest, GoOcean, and other stakeholders.
Ongoing Evaluation and Commitment
Our approach to CO2 compensation is not static. We are committed to continually revisiting and refining our strategy to ensure that we are effectively compensating and actively working on reducing our carbon footprint. This ongoing evaluation will help us stay aligned with our sustainability goals and adapt to any changes in our environmental impact.
We are excited to continue these efforts, ensuring that our business practices contribute positively to the planet and future generations.
